 Mr Williams, an uncorrupted soul
and may others aspire to be as honest as he.

This page is a dedication to the late Mr Morris Williams MLA Member for Doncaster, a principled and honest man who was a crusader against crime and criminal activity. He whole-heartedly supported my mother Penelope Nichol and understood the injustice that had been metted out to her by the Victorian Government.

In 1983 Mr Williams 1st raised this issue at Adjournment  (Hansard 17/11/83 pg 2071)
regarding the fact the Ministry of Transport for a period of 20 months had stone-walled Penelope Nichol as she was requesting ex-gratia compensation for the illegal taking of her licence TO 24 as a result of the decision by the Transport Regulation Board.

In 1986Mr Williams again raised the issue of  TO 24 mini-bus licence with Tom Roper the then Minister for Transport at question time in Parliament. In his reply, Mr Roper's derogartory remarks about Ms Nichol can be found recorded in Hansard.

My dearest Simone, Mr Williams was addressing Mr Roper the then Labor Minister for Transport, about my fate and that of Licence TO 24. He received a perfunctory and off the point answer from Mr Roper, who quickly passed over Mr Williams' question (Question Time in Plmnt) and Mr Roper went onto completely unrelated subjects. Love, Maman.

Williams, Morris Thomas
Born 10 April 1924 (Swan Hill, Victoria)
Died 28 October 1995.
